Our Kids & Financial Literacy

As someone that has manged a major business for many years I feel strongly that in this day and age our kids need to be better prepared to meet the demands of the ever changing economy.  One of those demands is financial literacy.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve met with young people who are just starting their careers yet they have little to no grasp of saving and investing.  Two concepts we all need to be familiar with if we hope to be financial secure as we move through life.  This recent announcement that they plan to improve high-schoolers financial education is a step in the right direction in my book.  This will arm our high schools with the knowledge they will need to succeed in life.
