The Recession’s Toll

The New York Times did a poll and wrote up an troubling piece on how this recession is hurting individuals and adversely affecting families.  As the CEO responsible for the well-being of so many employees stories like this and the impact the recession is having on communities keep me — and others — up at night.  In a recent post I wrote about my belief that furthering your education may help to open doors down the road.  I really believe this to be true but understand it’s not something that everyone can simply do.  I was heartened to see one individual in the New York Times story is in fact going back to school and advancing his degree.  This recession is troubling and many of us have been touched directly by it or know someone who has.
